Program Leader The Next Wave

Andrew Gilmore brings a depth of experience in experiential education, environmental studies, and international travel. Originally from County Derry, his early connection to nature grew into a lifelong passion for the outdoors and sustainability.

He holds a degree in Environmental Science and Outdoor Education from the University of Stirling, where he trained as a Mountain Leader and led expeditions throughout the Scottish Highlands. Andrew has since facilitated immersive learning experiences across Europe and South America, often working within community-based projects focused on conservation and cultural exchange.

Now based in Ireland, Andrew continues to lead outdoor programs while deepening his knowledge of native ecology. Outside the field, he’s an avid surfer, photographer, and explorer of second-hand bookshops and local music venues.
